Prenatal MassageTherapists will learn about techniques that provide relief for the expectant mother and how they are performed in the side-lying position. This class informs therapists of the importance and benefits of massage during pregnancy and to help them to be comfortable working on expectant mothers. The class will touch on treatment room set up, draping, bolstering, specific techniques for common pregnancy muscle issues, safe essential oil use for Prenatal Massage and more.
About our presenter:

Amber graduated from Florida School of Massage in Gainesville, Florida in 2009. She has over 700 hours of Aromatherapy training and has been studying essential oils and herbal remedies since 2007. She also has over 100 CE hours of training in Prenatal Massage, and certifications in MLD, Meditation, Sound Healing and Reiki Instruction. She has worked in various settings over the years including high end spa, chiropractic, private practice and mobile services, and is the former Head of the Massage Program and Lead Instructor at both FSCJ and Parisian Spa Institute in Jacksonville,FL. She has been an NCBTMB Approved Provider since 2018 with a focus on Multidimensional Therapeutic Relaxation. Using Pain Free Deep Tissue massage techniques with energy work, aromatherapy, sound, spa tools and stretching as needed to provide clients with a total relaxation experience and creating space that encourages their body to heal and recharge. She is a firm believer in a holistic treatment model and the mind body spirit connection to wellness. Amber is passionate about the profession of massage therapy and is very enthusiastic about sharing information with her peers and aims to remind her students how massage can be a magical experience.
