Introduction to the Heart of Hawaiian Lomi Massage
This 2 hour course will discuss the history of Lomi Lomi, an ancient form of Hawaiian bodywork that was considered by some to be a rite of passage for villagers, performed by kahunas and elders. Attendees will learn about basic strokes, the benefits of the work for their clients as well as themselves, and how this work will effect their massage practice.

About our presenter:
Anthony "Tony" Crawford has been an LMT since 1996 after graduating from the Swedish Institute of Massage. He has taught massage at Florida State Community College Jacksonville for approximately 10 years and was an adjunct Professor when enrollment warranted it. He helped facilitate Lomi workshops for about 10 years as a co- instructor and taught Lomi workshops independently for 5 years with Sacred Lomi Sacred Temple Bodywork. Tony has a private practice in Florida and has worked at Coastal Massage Day Spa for approximately 10 years. During the pandemic he helped to facilitate online Lomi classes. Additionally, he has taught Lomi on an informal basis through out the United States and in France.
